We are Plumbers in Cape Coral, FL and increasing water pressure of a shower head is something that many of our customers request. It can be frustrating trying to rinse off soap during a shower when the water is barely coming out. The good thing is that there is a easy solution that may work in many situations. This video will explain one possible solution that may work for your shower head.
The video explains how to knock out the water restricter that is inside of the shower head. The small colored restricter is the most likely cause of your low water pressure. Many shower heads come with a restricter installed. To see it, simply look down into the threaded side of the shower head. It can be removed, or at least broken out of place, pretty easily with the right tools.

Once removed, the water should come out of the shower head much easier and stronger. It’s important to know that not all shower heads have a restricter. Sometimes the cause of your low water pressure issue could be something else. A qualified Plumber may need to diagnose the issue to determine the cause and resolution.
