Still Having Trouble Finding Your Main Sewer Cleanout?
If you are having trouble finding your main sewer cleanout then it’s important to note that sometimes it can be hidden in bushes so look really well. Some older buildings will have a cleanout but it will be buried below ground. If this is the case, then either a probe or a sewer camera will need to be used to locate the cleanout.
A probe is used to poke the ground while moving across the perimeter trying to poke the sewer pipe letting you know where it is. A sewer camera can be ran from a roof vent or a pulled toilet to find the cleanout. Then a separate device is used to locate the camera head.. If you need to call a plumber then they will most likely use one of these methods.
