Rerouting A Sewer Line

We are Plumbers in Cape Coral, FL so we see a lot of septic tanks. This is a video showing a job we performed in the Cape that required making a repair to the main sewer pipe as well as the septic tank inlet.

We came across a customer that was having chronic problems with their septic tank. The sewer line for their septic tank kept clogging and backing up. They had a septic tank company come out to their house several times but they were unable to find a permanent solution to the problem.

The customer ultimately called us out to their house so we could take a look at the situation. After diagnosing the issue, we determined that the sewer line was experiencing several issues. It was routed in such a way that discourages drainage. It was also pitched improperly and full of grease buildup in one section.

We receive earnings through the Amazon Associates Program for qualified recommendations we make on Amazon that are purchased.

In order to remedy the problem we dug up the ground to expose the sewer line. Then we cut out the old sections of pipe and fittings. Then we installed new PVC drain pipes and rerouted them into the septic tank at a different location. This required drilling the septic tank in one location and sealing it at the old location. Once we were done the sewer line and septic worked considerably better than before.
