At some point in time lightning rods were installed on the roof of this customer’s house. They are attached to a large copper wire that runs down the wall of the house and into the ground to connect to a very long copper grounding rod in the ground. The problem is they ran the rod directly through the sewer line causing sewer backups for the customer. We found the rod, dug up the line, removed it, repaired the pipe and then restored the ground.
We came across a customer that was having chronic problems with the sewer line for their septic tank clogging and backing up. After diagnosing, we determined that the sewer line was routed in a way that discourages drainage. It was also pitched improperly and full of grease. In order to remedy the problem we dug up the line and rerouted into the septic tank at a different location. Once we were done the sewer line and septic worked considerably better than before.
